| The Lane Tech Jazz Band Mr. Omar Fong-Bances Director Like the Lane Tech Symphonic Band, our Jazz Band is by audition only. Those wishing to join must have some musical experience behind them already. The Jazz Band performs at all school concerts, at several Jazz Band Contests each year and like all other bands at Lane, is part of the Marching Band during Marching Season. Positions in the Jazz Band are filled according to openings available. While the Jazz Band does not count as a "Music Majors" ensemble participation, it is possible to be in both our Band and Jazz Band program at the same time.
